(Seattle, WA) – Seattle Fire Fighters, Local 27, are proud to endorse Jessie Israel for Seattle City Council position 6, the seat currently held by Nick Licata. Fire Fighters voted to endorse Jessie Israel because she is the most well-versed on public safety issues and challenges faced by Seattle Fire Fighters. "A commitment to public safety begins with a clear understanding of the issues", said Kenny Stuart, President of SFFU Local 27, “Seattle Fire Fighters are dedicated to keeping the citizens of Seattle safe, and we need Seattle City Council members with that same commitment. (Seattle, WA) – Seattle Fire Fighters Union Local 27 is proud to endorse Sally Bagshaw for Seattle City Council, Position 4.  Ms. Bagshaw is an exceptional choice having recently retired as a King County Prosecutor and being a longtime supporter of public safety and healthy communities.  Sally’s experience in the Prosecutor’s office gives her a unique insight in to the challenges facing first responders in their efforts to protect our communities.

When the Seattle Fire Fighters endorsed Tim Burgess against incumbent David Della for Seattle City Council, many were surprised.  However, David Della’s conduct in this race has only confirmed that Seattle Fire Fighters made the right decision.
